Does anyone have a basic knitting pattern that I could use to knit a reasonable size doll with Brownie uniform on to help with fundraising please ? My 15 year old has been selected to go to Finland on an international camp next year with the Guides and needs to raise £1500 ! Every little helps though and thought they would make nice stocking fillers

There are a number of free patterns on the Jean Green Howe website

Look on the mascot dolls page Very cute.

I was just about to say I have one but that was the Brownie uniform of the 1970's (that lovely brown dress d'you remember)!

How about using a small pattern like this and customising it with the brown and yellow to make Brownie dolls. That would be small and easy enough you could probably make one in an evening, or some of the brownies could help out with them. If you had different skin/ hair colours/styles I bet the Brownies would want to have a "mini-me" each. They could have a little gilet/hoodie that you could take off. Sell them for at least £5.

Sorry, I love knitting toys!

How do you mean, reasonable sized? Like the size of a Groovygirl? There is a lack of non-gruesome doll patterns out there IMO!

I was meaning about 9 or 10 inches high . I was going to order the Jean Greenhowe patterns but wondered if anyone had a generic doll pattern I could adapt. Thanks Mammonite for the link will have a look.
