Decorating Christmas Baubles?

I've just come back from a planning meeting for the Church Christmas Fayre. I seem to have volunteered to run and make and do stall for children, with the idea being that I buy a batch of cheap baubles for the children to decorate. I was thinking glitter glue pens, but do you think that will work (i.e.will the glue stick?)

What else could we use?

You could do

  • PVA and sequins and glitter
  • PVA the childs hand print onto the bauble and then glitter it
  • Paper machie with coloured tissue paper, or paper you like
  • pipe cleaners
  • erm will think a bit more

We did decorating clear plastic baubles with glass painting pens (got all the stuff from www.bakerross.co.uk/). We had tea-light holders too, but the baubles were definitely most popular.

This yr think we are planning on doing decorate a biscuit...

Glitter and children are not a good mix IMO Grin especially for the person cleaning up.

Cookie decorating is fab, squeezable icing pens, they do glitter ones, dolly mixture, chocolate buttons, smarties, any decorating product by Dr Oetker in the baking aisle.

I have done bauble decorating at home and it glitter glue takes ages to dry.
