nappy cakes?

has anybody made these? any links for how to make them or ideas etc. what do people put in them? i would love to make one for a pregnant friend of mine.

My sister made me one - literally nappies rolled up and tied with ribbon, then stood on end to make a big round cake and tied with more ribbon, think it was 2 layers high. You could put rolled up babygrows/socksin there too if you could roll them into a sausage shape and bunch them together??
