Circular knitting needles, help me before I give up!!!

I want to start a new project:

Bunny

but this circular knitting needles are driving me mad, I mean, I watched a few videos on youtube and it seems so simple, but my problem is

with this pattern you only cast on 6 to start with so when you want to join the last loop with the first loop I just simply can't do it!

It looks so wonky and wrong!

Any advice on how I should do it?

Thanks

magic loop is what you need to do I suspect. otherwise you will have a big long cable with just a few stitches on it.

I haven't used circulars but I like reading my knitting books Grin

magic loop is a good technique and the only way I can knit on circulars.

knittinghelp.com has good technique videos, I'm sure magic loop is on there....

I tend to use double pointed needles for small circumference circular knitting though, I find it much easier!

It does say Magic loop or double pointeds. Doubl pointeds is not as hard as it sounds, when there are only a few stitches I use three needles, two to hold the stitches and the third to knit with.

Have you looked at the videos of "knitwitch" and "very pink.com" on you tube? I found them really helpful, including magic loop. Good luck, I couldn't knit on anything other than circs now!
