UCM, was it the sizzix alpha for dingle?

Anything really - what ever you have - just a few words so I can have a look - maybe BABY in blue & pink ?
I tried my alphabet punches (£25 ish from Costco) - not too bad but they are not the best quality & some you have to fiddle with in order to get them to cut through the paper - so I may still look at Sizzix alphabets. Not bad value though compared to other sets I've seen - all letters + punctuation bits & bobs in a nic zippy carrying case

alpha punches sound snazzy, have you tried punching some foil to sharpen them a little?

Any tips for a Sizzix novice on how to make neater multicoloured shapes ? I used my birthday cake but wanted different coloured candles, flames, cake & plate. Is it best to cut out complete shapes in all the different colours you want & then lay on accordingly or is there a secret tip ? Obviously you get some shapes with perforations - just wondered what was the best way of getting the neatest finish.

I also see what you mean about the dies need time to bed in & get rid of all the excess black bits!

it depends on your required results (oo get me lol) if you want a raised look, cut in all colours and layer up, or cut extra colours of bits you want to look more raised ala decoupage.

a trick i use is to just use a bit of card the size of the diff parts ie candle and then cut that out, saves on time and card.

Nope it's not sizzix alpha for Dingle. I think I ahve sent them. Shuffles around looking for clues. It may have been a swap for my coastal set for something else. Not sure.

No, it hasn't BUT the man did ring me this afternoon to say that it is being sent today and ought to be with me tomorrow or monday (the couriers he use don't deliver on Sat). I am not letting myself get excited as he has told me this once before and it didn't turn up.

I have a list of dies that I fancy when (if) it turns up!
