new on this topic but need help and ideas

i wanna start a hobbie involving arts and crafts as during naps and the night time i get bored of watching tv after doin the house work what is a good arty thing to start

im just starting to sew booboo, so far its been quite relaxing apart from the initial needle threading on the machine lol. have you done any crafts before?

when ds1 was small, I got into card making but had to stop that as he got bigger as I used to work at the dinner table and just leave it all out. Then as he got bigger & more mobile, I wasnt able to leave all the bits out anymore.

Now I do quilting/sewing. I did a couple of courses to get me going, followed a few blogs and I have now made 6 quilts in the last year! It is actually very quick & easy to make a quilt top, but the hard work is the actual layering (basting) and quilting. Try crazymom, or red pepper quilts for some modern inspiration.

You could also try cross stitch or "stitcheries" If hand sewing is you "thing".
