Where can I get a sizzix catalogue from? All this talk about sizzix alphabets is making me itchy! I know you can see them on sizzix.com but I would like to peruse them at my leisure!

OP posts:
DingleBells · 05/12/2005 15:34

hmmmm....I think you can get them in a few places..seem to remember them being advertised in a craft mag recently...possibly The Craft Bug...or was it Grimsby Crafts...will have a look.

I haven't got one yet either!

DingleBells · 05/12/2005 15:45

Can't find it advertised online, I seem to think it was the Craft Bug though. If I see it advertised again I'll let you know. Perhap someone else can fill us both in.

ChampsOnIce · 05/12/2005 19:05

hiya!! got mine from here was free at the time as i had ordered some dies, now £1 order by email

25p plus 50p p&p

cant believe some places are charging over £2 for these, ebay have one for £2.45!!

ChampsOnIce · 05/12/2005 19:06

it may be an idea to email sites you use for sizzix shopping and see if they'll send you one.

WeWhizzzYouAMerryXmas · 05/12/2005 19:10

Oo I am being taunted by Sizzix everywhere I look ! I really can't decide whether to get one. Argh !

ChampsOnIce · 05/12/2005 19:11

oooo just remembered a site i use and you can get one free:

Send for your free sizzix catalogue to:
The craft bug
23 west view. Chirk. Wrexham. LL14 5HL

ChampsOnIce · 05/12/2005 19:13

lol whizzz, ikwym, i looked a thread i posted on last year and i was saying the same thing. i think as you make cards to sell it will pay for itself soon... thats was my excuse for buying it, may i just warn that the dies are very moreish!!

WeWhizzzYouAMerryXmas · 05/12/2005 19:16

I think £45 is the cheapest I've seen one which does seem like a lot of money (although I know thats cheap!) - especially as I also want an alphabet set
I blame MN - if it wasn't for this site I would have known what one was

IwannawishuaKIWIchristmas · 05/12/2005 19:24

I got my catalogue through the sizzix.com website. There was an email address for somewhere in Ireland, I think. Hang on... I'll check

DingleBells · 05/12/2005 19:27

I came on her to say that I think I have been a very good girl. Considering I've had my sizzix since March/April...I don't have too many dies. I have been very tempted but only biult up my collection slowly.

BUT this morning saw an offer on some quickutz dies I simply couldn't resist! Got 6 doubledies for £29.53 inc P&P!
It's just as well I was under a strict time limit as I had to get out the door and collect Amelia from SN nursery...I think otherwise I would have spent a small fortune. DOn't know what is left, I can imagine they sold pretty quick, but if anyone is interested look here to see what reductions are still left.

They have some other bargains, might start a new thread for those!

ChampsOnIce · 05/12/2005 20:41

lol whizzz!!

dinglebells -- you did make me laff!! told you dies are moreish

here's a downloadable and printable catalogue

UCM · 05/12/2005 21:07

Right, this buy or not to buy is a bit daft when some of us have sizzix. I think that we Sizzlers should offer our wares.

If everyone sent a copy of every die cut they have in crap paper (so the recipient can see what it looks like) I can laminate and we can have a sort of Sizzix die cut catalogue, which can be sent to recipient, obviously the recipient may have to pick what they want very fast and send it on but hey. It's a reasonable idea ( I think).

Is is plausable

WeWhizzzYouAMerryXmas · 05/12/2005 21:20

Sizzlers !

If its any use I'd be happy to use my little punches if anyone wants daisies or flowers, butterflies & anything else I may have !

UCM · 05/12/2005 21:27

Greetings whizzer cheque in post as we speak. What do you reckon on a catalogue of bits?

UCM · 05/12/2005 21:29

Well don't tell no-one but my friends are in NY and have promised promised promised to buy me some dies......Arrrrrgh. Want to phone em but mobile bill will be huge. They will text me when ready. Good mates, so should come up with something. The alpha male said that the only reason I want all of this stuff was so that I could come on MN and brag, tis' true, but only cos' I know everyone else will get excited.

WeWhizzzYouAMerryXmas · 05/12/2005 21:32

sounds good to me if people don't mind! I would happily supply the card/paper.
I posted your parcel out today UCM

UCM · 05/12/2005 22:48

Cheers Whizzz

I am sooooooooo excited I might just text them now

UCM · 08/12/2005 22:48

Sadly my so called 'best mates' didn't get me anything apart from eyelets & brads ( which I am thrilled about!!!). They went to all of the craft shops including 'Michaels' and everyone said, you can't get the big shot yet unless you order it from the manufactorer on email. What a load of pants.

UCM · 08/12/2005 22:49

They are still my best mates but I don't think that I am going to have any new dies unless I order from Amethyst.

WeWhizzzYouAMerryXmas · 11/12/2005 14:01

I've done it - just bought a new Sixxiz off eBAY for just under £40 with some pending Xmas/BDay money !!

I'm also going to buy an alphabet set but will try & choose one that no one else on here has got so we can do swaps.

DingleBells · 11/12/2005 15:03

no looking back now whizzz!! Did you get any dies with it?

WeWhizzzYouAMerryXmas · 11/12/2005 15:12

No- am just looking now at where is cheapest. Any advice ??
I am putting together a wish list for Santa

Pixiefish · 11/12/2005 15:16

amaethyst are by far the cheapest. 20% off the price if you use the code from the home page brings the large dies to £8. cheaper than second hand even

Pixiefish · 11/12/2005 15:16

oh and it's free postage. www.rugbycrafts.co.uk

DingleBells · 11/12/2005 15:33

I have only ever ordered from UK, and I have never seen cheaper than that Pixiefish!

I know I made the most of free P&P on the other dies when I got my sizzix machine, but with the offers that rugby crafts have ATM, it works out cheaper.

Have fun compiling your wish list!
