Decorating jar? Best way

I am making some biscuits as a gift for my mom and dad have brought a great Kilner jar to put them in but now wondering how best to decorate it. Need something that my daughter can do who is 17months as they will love that she has helped any ideas would be great :)

you can buy kits of glass paints in most craft shops, or probably even places like Argos, or good toy shops - I know The Learning Centre has them

you can use these to make stained glass type patterns on the jar - I used to the black outline & let DD colour it in when she was tiny, so that might bethe way to go?
