Elf costume anyone?

Ds1 4.5yr has kindergarten xmas picnic on Tuesday, they can go as a fairytale character and he wants to be an elf as in Elves and the Shoemaker. He had instructed me that his costume is to be entirely green with ragged knees and a hat with a bell on it.

Now I'm quite handy with the sewing machine myself but would appreciate any help with the basic patern
TIA

Green tights
Green teeshirt

Make bsic rectangles in to shorts (maybe brown) and cut the bottem in large zigzags

Not sure about the hat - sorry

green tights? Hmmm that's an idea, but it's going to be 33 degrees here in Oz and ds1 is built like a rugby player, LOL.

Rectangle shorts are a great idea, thanks

What about green makeup?

Green Tshirt and green shorts (as he doesn't have green legs anymore)

a ruff(?) round his neck with zigzags(?)

No sewing either

Cut a circle, cut a head hole
Cut zigzags round the edge (big 3-4 inch ones)
