What to do with frame

I have a large mirror with a natural pine frame. Because it is not a flat frame I am not sure I can mosaic it so have looked at decoupaging it.

Does anyone have any other fab ideas or experience with what I could do with it? My lounge is all dark wood with teal accessories.

Could you sand it and then apply a matching dark wood wax?

That sounds nice. It would look nice but wouldn't take very long to do. Need a project!

have you thought of gold/silver leaf? You can add it in a relief way, nice if you do the dark stain below and buff it so it shows below.

Decopatch can look lovely, I saw this stand at a show that offered squares of paper in all sorts of colours, you could use tones that would fit in with your dark wood colour scheme and fabric.

Thank you very much - a lovely idea!! Will get on it as soon as finished my blanket. I think the dark stain and gold leaf is a fab idea and the decopatch site is very nice !
