is the card challenge happening?

because i am working on mine as we speak, and want to upload the pic later on, as the kids have decided we are sending it to daddy as its pretty

oh dear, i think i am becoming one of those crafty people, i want to use different papaers,i want special glue and things, i want my own craft box, i want to know what sizzex is or whatever its called, i want to know more about toppers............

You can get toppers in poundland (about 6 in a pack). Toppers are like little pictures that you can stick onto your cards (cheating realy, bbut they look great).
Sizzix is a machiene that cuts shapes out of card, foam and paper using a die system, then you can use the shapes as toppers etc..(very good but expensisve).

oh but how will i store it all? i have visions of me emptying my toolbox and filling it with cards/paper/glitter/glue etc.

The challenge is still going ahead....I hope the teams are both busy making their cards.

oh its awful, i was saying to the kids 'dont touch my glue, yours is there' as theres has all bits of glitter and sparkles in it' lol. i am raiding their craft box, plsu using the stuff we bought today, some especially for this challenge, but i want my own lol. i found it very relaxing.

Yes, tell me about it! I have a craft cupboard (one of those wheely drawer unit made of plastic) that I use, only Sm is very arty and steal my things and that is the worst crime....

Everything is divided. My pens, their pens; my paper, their paper . if we are low, only mine. I am a terrible, selfish woman but it's ALL MINE!!

(I should point out that I pay £7 a week for Sam to have art classes that I would dearly love. But then my conscience requests I also point out that is covered by the student sponsorship I get from a charity relating to Sam's AS!)

misdee...i'm really glad u r enjoying this... you have so much going on in your life...it's good to have something that you can 'escape' into...if you know what i mean...its hard to just relax...even when you have been on the go all day,all night...but having something like this to do really takes all my concentration....so i am able to blank off the continuous thoughts that ramble in my mind...and actually take a step away from my probs .

( a handy byproduct is that whilst crafting i cannot binge eat...and the result is that since sep i have lost 1 stone...and that's compared to taking from april to sept to lose the first stone...cardmaking deffo improbes my weight loss!!!! Gone from size 18/20 to size 15 (!!!!) hee hee! Can't say 14 YET...but on my way!!!)

Ooh yes, and I cannot AFFORS to binge eat coz of all the craft stuff!

Misdee, like me I suspect you are alone alot int the evenings (DH works nights so obviously for different reasons) and it really helps to have something to do
