Pettiskirts - cute or ridiculous?

Am thinking of making these for DDs (2 & 5) for parties this summer. I think they're super cute but I'm american so have a much higher over-the-top threshold! DDs are in lurve with them, DH thinks they're too much. Will welcome all opinions.

I think they are lovely, my youngest dds aged 3 and 6 would love one.

My 4 year old DD has a similar one that she has more or less lived in for the last year. Make away your DD's will love you forever! Why don't you elasticate the waist and get loads more fabric so that you can add extra tiers to the bottom as they grow taller - then they'll last much longer!

Hey I saw these and thought they looked amazing. I know a company that sell similar ones but I think they are probably much better quality: Angel's Face So how did it turn out??

DD had a skirt similar to that and wore it everywhere when she was about 4.
