Use an embossing pen? I got mine from about £3 from do-crafts- very useful too for adding missed bits to embossed stamps IYSWIM. (It has think and thin bits)

yep i use an embossing pen too, also you can use thin d/s tape, just put down at edge, cover with e/p and heat.
