Can anyone recommend a pattern for a play tent / teepee?

Hello! My teepee came from this book is a fab book and the teepee on my profile was my first attempt at using a sewing machine! You just have to not look too closely!

The only criticism is that the pattern in the book is slightly wrong. One of the panels ends up the wrong way round, but you should be able to spot it. The other thing is the teepee tends to slide down the bamboo canes. The elastic measurements are too loose. Dh keeps on at me to put some tight elastic at the top to hold it up but I really can't be arsed! Tis fab though! Not that difficult. Lovely book, ours came from the library.

Oh and I don't go around searching for people mentioning my name! I am just always on here happened to see this thread in active convos.

Love your tepee Bumper (and the kitchen!). Will try & get the book at the library. Hoping that my mum will help me with the sewing otherwise it will end up another unfinished project.

I know what you mean about unfinished projects. The kitchen actually took us 9 months of procrastinating! It was only when DD2 was nearly due I insisted we finish it and was heavily pg sanding and painting the damn thing!

There is an easy project on the disney craft site which uses a hula hoop to make a round canopy type tent

That teepee looks amazing bumper as does your cross stitch! I love it! May I ask what you cross stitched it onto? I want one!

Prolific the cross stitch is just a tiny little thing thar came free with a cross stitch magazine. I haven't cross stitched since I was a child but found this book and have been inspired!

Wispa think the book I linked to also had a hoop tent, a really lovely (and probably easier) idea too, but you would have to fix it to something.

Obviously the cross stitch with the magazine didn't have the pattern that I stitched! It was a butterfly or something similarly twee!
