I have to say a massive thank you to you... a while ago I started a thread looking for ideas for my halloween party, on one of the other topics, and you replied with some brilliant ideas. We had our fancy dress party on Saturday and it was A M A Z I N G!! Everyone got involved and had lots of fun. When the children arrived there were activities to do like apple bobbing, making words from 'haunted house', feely bags and pin the nose on the pumpkin before we got together and played lots of games. Groups went out into the West End and embarked on a 'ghost' treasure hunt racing against each other to the four stops. The stories of their antics are hilarious. Parents can be so competitive!! When we got back indoors, the fathers disappeared to watch the big game (big if you're a Kiwi Bloke) while we settled in to make popcorn hands, ice biscuits, paint pots, twist pompoms and pipecleaners into spiders, and decorate party bags. After dinner the kids chilled out with Scooby Doo while we adults foolishly indulged in far too much alcohol.
Anyways... I didn't mean to write a novel - blame it on the excitement. I haven't been able to wipe the smile from my face with how well it all went. Thanks so so so so so so much for your initial ideas. They were brilliant and oh, so helpful! You really are a legend.
