Good prices on fimo

Just got back from Hobbycraft and they have good prices on Fimo at the moment.

Packs with 3 or 4 blocks in Christmassy colours so it's already cheaper than buying them one by one and they're 3 packs for the price of two.

Sorry can't remember the exact price but remember thinking it was a bargain.

ooo never tried Fimo - how easy is it ?

UCM · 04/11/2005 20:19

It's like plastacine that you poke & prod into a shape and bake it at gas mark 1 till it's Ard.

Have done some carrots for snowmen noses tonight.

Thanks for the tip!

UCM · 05/11/2005 14:08

Am leaving for Hobby craft in about 10 mins. Last chance. Anyone want anything?

UCM · 05/11/2005 18:14

Ok so you lot were very smart. I spent....25.00 would have spent more but I kept thinking about cheap website on other thread.

You fibbed about the fimo. It was normal price. But hey bought some anyway. Always good to have a bit of fimo in your bag!!

I really really will not go to hobby craft again. It is such a rip off. Their envelopes for A5 cards were 39p each.

Am going cyber shopping now on that website. Anyone want to come with me and we can have a coffe after in the plaza. Also if anyone wants anything I can order loads and we can share the discount.

Anytakers?

anorak · 06/11/2005 10:29

I bloody did not fib!

It was cut price in my branch (Watford). That's the best I can do, I can't go round them all checking.

I don't have a Hobbycraft near me so was wondering where I can get hold of Fimo on-line? Any ideas?

UCM · 06/11/2005 15:25

\link {www.docrafts.co.uk}

UCM · 06/11/2005 15:26

could someone please explain how to do a blooming link. by typing out the correct link for do crafts for me.

WhizzzBangWhizzz · 06/11/2005 16:09

Also in my local Hobbycraft as well as the Fimo - 2 Craft cases for £10 or 6.99 each (33.5cm x 26cm) with a cantilever tray with compartments - had to get 2 for all my beady stuff.

Heat guns for £14 apparently half price - didn't buy one though.
Actually quite a lot seemed to be on offer

WhizzzBangWhizzz · 06/11/2005 16:11

here !

WhizzzBangWhizzz · 06/11/2005 16:13

easiest thing UCM - open the web page you want in another window & highlight & copy all the title (the etc.... bit)

then in MN type \link{ and then paste the title in with no spaces then just add \ and then a comment such as here

UCM · 06/11/2005 19:50

Those heat guns can be got for 9.99. So HC were selling them overpriced anyway.

anorak · 06/11/2005 21:59

I just found out the other day that one of my neighbours works in Hobbycraft and she was telling me the best day to go in is Boxing Day, if you want to pick up some bargains.

WhizzzBangWhizzz · 06/11/2005 22:02

I think seeing as though Hobbycraft is supposed to be the equivalent of a supermakrket - it is very overpriced ! The only thing it has going for it is that it has most things & its 15mins away from my house

I got an email when the Crayford store opened. It's not too far from me - atleast I could visit it enroute to a friend's place. Rickman - did you get to your hubby's work today to check out their supplies?
