Can anyone recommend an easy baby knits book please?

Hi, I'm having my second baby in December and would really love to knit some things this time, rather than my mum knitting all of the lovely baby cardigans and bootees!

I'm not new to knitting but would still probably class myself as a beginner as I don't have the confidence to attempt anything too difficult or fancy. Any suggestions would be really appreciated!

erika knight does some very pretty stuff that is very easy to knit, i have the simple knits for cherished babies book and have knitted loads of stuff from it.

Baby Knits for Beginners and Smply Baby by Debbie Bliss both have some nice easy patterns also Easy Baby Knits by Claire Montgomerie and Cute and East Baby Knits by Susie Johns are worth a look.

Try your local library before you buy - I had no idea that libraries stocked this sort of thing until someone told me, and I managed to borrow 3 of the 4 I've mentioned from mine which saved me a fortune.

Would definitely go with Erica and Debbie Bliss but also take a look at Sublime patterns and finally go to Ravelry.com to download free patterns.

When you look at your local library, remember to check out their online reservations service as you will find other books from these designers at other libraries.

Sorry for the post and run. Someone has very kindly sent me an easy cardigan pattern so I'll have a go at knitting that then have a look at some of the books you've suggested. Thanks!
