Crochet pattern for a girls dress

Beckie222 · 15/04/2011 17:33

I've just started to crochet again and I would love to do a dress for my DD.
I'm struggling to find a suitable pattern. Would anybody have any suggestions of the best place online to get an easy to follow pattern.

Any ideas welcome.

Ravelry!!!

How old is dd? I'm not sure I'd bother with crocheting a dress. Much less faff to sew one. That said I may have a pattern in a magazine somewhere if you'd like me to check?

Thanks for the replies.
I checked ravelry but the one I liked it didn't actually gave the pattern.

I am not good at sewing so that's out and I'd really like to crochet one as they are quite on trend at the minute. Do you think you have one in a magazine I'd really appreciate it.

Bigger than you need, but very cute Smile

This is what I was thinking of but I don't have the magazine (it's on the back of one as in 'coming in next month's issue') however you can buy the pattern here, it's a Nikki Trench pattern.

Lionbrand.com you need to sign up, but almost all patterns are free. I've got quite a lot of good ones from them.

This was the first garnment i croched, so instructions can't be too difficult;)

And i really liked the dress.

Thank you all so much. There are some lovely dresses and this has given me lots to go on.
I've searched online myself but there is that much on there that sometimes I don't know where to start looking.
I think I'm going to try the little bobble one it looks really cute but it may prove to tricky for me, time will tell.

You have to pay for this one, but is instantly downloaded and doesn't look too bad (although remember it's in US crochet speak!). The blog has lots of lovely things and she has a ravelry page too. rosylittlethings.com/crochetmina.html

DuplicitousBitch · 16/04/2011 09:02

i think the bobble one is fairly easy.
