I have boys age 8 & 10 who need to make one each for school. They're not at all keen and it certainly mustn't be anything girly!

I can't think beyond a red white and blue top hat and they're showing very little interest. Can anyone help?

you could just do a bog standard card crown, then add small union jack flags. minimal but does the job

Top hat style with lots of guardsmen around it?

How about the RAF No1 SD cap - like the groom? Or the Army version - like the best man?

Or, if the press are to be believed, an SAS beret in honour of the Private Secretary?

Why don't you make a normal cardboard hat in white and use a red and blue felt tip to write Royal Wedding Graffiti on it, eg Royals Rule. Kate Loves Harry, or whatever young boys would write, within reason?!?!

Hi I've just been making some toy crowning for the Royal Wedding - great fun to do - combination of cardboard, lining material, white fluffy trimming and the odd jewel and mini Union Jasck - See Vivienne Westwood London Fashion Week autumn/winter 2011. Hope it helps!
