Scrapbooking - novice question!

I am looking at scrapbooking. I have found a lovely 12x12 album which would be perfect. But, do you have to put pages inside a plastic page protector to put them into an album? I want my pages to be more touchy-feely, not plasticky. Is there a way of attaching 12x12 pages into the album, but not in a sleeve? Hope this makes sense.
Thanks!

you can get albums where the pages are attached so don't need sleeves. I prefer them too. You can undo the posts and work on the pages etc.

Or you can make your own. There are some nice diy kits or you can buy mount board and card and use ribbon or split rings to hold them together.

UKScrappers is a good forum to browse.

Thanks so much for your quick reply. Can I ask where you get your albums from? I'll have a look at ukscrappers too - great.

I've had a few from ebay before and I've had some from a local store. If I remember right it was craftime who made the diy albums I've used but they only sell through shops.

UK Scrappers has a good market place secton which has sellers and other deals etc. You can also ask where the best place to source something might be. It's been about a year since I bought scrapbooking stuff. I vowed to use my stash before getting more as It's a little addictive!
