Beaded safety pin crafts

Has anyone ever made the lapel pins that are rows of safety pins with beads threaded onto each one in certain patterns to make a picture? Often they are flags or emblems. Guides and Scouts make them a lot to use as as swaps when they go on international camps.

That is not very clear I know but if you have done them before you will know what I mean!

Well I am after a pattern for a Yorkshire rose one and can't seem to find one anywear. Can anyone help?

You could make a pattern by drawing what you want onto a piece of graph paper and use each square for each bead. I have done it this way before and its quite simple. If you cant draw it, then you could print one off the internet onto graph paper.
