I've recently got into painting and pretty soon got hooked. I go to an art class every week though it's more of a social group now. My medium of choice has always been acrylics. I tend to do landscapes, sunsets etc. and have found watercolours way too difficult.
Recently I started using watercolours at the class and have got more daring with them. Perhaps I didn't use enough water before? Anyway my work's improving and I find myself going for the watercolour box instead of the acrylics. Much less mess too.
I made a card for my neice today and put a painting of a butterfly on a flower at the front. She loves butterflies. She's 31 not a kiddy
What's your prefered medium? I wish I could be bothered with oils as the effect is great. It's just the smell and the drying time.
