Looking for thank you card ideas

DS is 3 next week - eeek! I like to send thank you cards to family/friends who send him a card or a present, especially as we live overseas and I think it's nice for them to get something (sort of) from him.
Previous ideas which I've used have been:
Type-written letters with photos in
Cards with his photo in
Cards with (nicely!) cut up artwork which he did at kindergarten.

I'm wondering if anyone has any other ideas that I could use.
Thanks :)

We have done thank you cards with hand prints on them - very simple and they give the recipient some impression of their size now.

That sounds like a great idea - thank you :)

Cards with photos on are always good as they're never the same from 1 year to the next. If you're really organised, you can photograph your DS with each present and send to the appropriate donor. Stick photos on card, and maybe let him decorate the 'frame' with his own sticking.
