Our preschool is holding a Curry & Quiz night on Saturday. It's in the village hall so is in quite a big room with normal folding tables etc.. I guess there might be 10 tables out on the night? Does anyone have any ideas of how I can decorate the tables or something to just bring a bit of atmosphere?? Thanks :)

Cheap sari fabric via a shop if there are any local ones or ebay?

For table cloths and napkins go for a mix of deep pink, purple, orange. Then if you could get gold tissue paper, fold longways to make a runner down the middle. Get some gold paper plates or even spray gold, some of those plastic platers from £1 shop

We did this and got the children to do hand prints on a paper hand made runner down eack table.

Also we had them draw around their hands and colour them in with pattens (like henna) and stuck thenm on sticks in a potato covered in tin foil in the centre of each table.

Loooked really really effective, but you might not have enough time now ...
