Anyone know how I can get hold of it? Schoolhouse Press won't post out of US without $30 postage fees (according to their website), & the Zimmermann book it is in is over £30 on Amazon... it's not in the library either...

I had no problem getting it from them for a few dollars, but that is a few years ago.
PM me?

I ended up getting a friend to send me her copy from the States. It seemed impossible to order without spending a fortune!

There are a fair few knock-offs around so you may be able to get hold of a looky-likey pattern - not very ethical though... Have you looked on Ravelry?

DutchOma (are you, or is it a nom de plume?) I PMd you.

BornToFolk, I hadn't thought of looking for knock offs - although I must confess I did google it to try to find it posted online - have been surprised that it's not more out there actually.

Yeah, it's such a famous pattern, you'd think it would be easier to get hold of! I can't search Ravelry at the moment as I'm at work but if I remember I'll do it later and see if I can find any likely candidates.

Thanks for the message. I am a Dutchoma indeed.

This is not identical but it's very similar. And free.

I was just about to recommend the DROPS pattern BornToFolk linked to. I have not made it myself but DROPS patterns are usually quite good (if lacking in detail for beginners).
