making clothes for action man

patterns or suggestions on how to get started - I can crochet (beginner) but can't knit (although my mum can) I can sew but never tried making clothes that small and worried my hand sewing wouldn't be robust enough to be played with!
A quick google search found loads for barbie (which I guess I could adapt) but I'd really like something for action man (or I guess Ken is the same size?)

Here are some free patterns for ken, there are a couple for GI Joe too. Is Ken the same size as action man?

lol greenlotus - it was that very page that put me off searching further! Unfortunently I can't knit so my mum is on the case, my mil did instruct me how to make patterns for trousers and vest today and I actually won some boots on ebay so I have the start of a couple of outfits!

daff - I think Ken is the same size as action man, I was looking for a Ken tuxedo (Bond stylee) but couldn't find one any where - surely he had one to marry barbie/sindy years ago?? on second thoughs it was probably very 80's and pink
