The Moderators of the "MN Cardmaker Gallery" have opened a new gallery.

The current gallery is close to maximum capacity.

To give everyone an equal chance to display their cards, it has been decided that the new gallery will be used to showcase seasonal greetings cards, that are available for purchase.

All cardmakers have been sent an email inviting them to join the new group. The moderators will need to authorise your membership, so please bear in mind that this takes some time to do.

Once your membership has been authorised you need to delete all Christmas cards from the excisting gallery and upload them to the new gallery.

There will be NO individual album's in the new gallery and all christmas cards will be displayed together.

Please make sure that when you upload your cards, you delete the "Full Size" image. Any cards found that have not been "down sized" will be deleted from the album by the moderators.
It will then be your responsibility to upload the image again, remebering to delete the "Full Size" image as you do.

When you upload your images you also need to edit them, giving your MN initials. eg AQ = Auntyquated.

You also need to give your card a title. eg AQ-Christmas Tree. This makes the card more identifiable for those looking.

Whilst editing you need to add your details below the card, making it easier for potential buyers to contact you. This could be your email address or your MumsNet name.

You may also add details of the card, such as whether it can be personalised or provided in alternative colours.

The new gallery will be used from Monday 24th October. Please note that any Christmas cards not removed from the excisting gallery by Sunday 23rd October, will be deleted, from the gallery, by the moderators. "The Christmas Challenge" will however remain in the excisting gallery.

This system will hopefully make card veiwing easier for others.

Ive just been in and played. I managed to delete the full size image of one of yours Dingle by mistake....think we were both there at the same time!!!!!

I have added my email address under the cards and if you look at the cards on slideshow they look Fab.

If everyone follows the Gallery Moderators instructions and adds their details when they edit their piccies, it makes it sooooo easy for people looking to see who they have to contact if they want to order any cards.

I did wonder actually JM. I loaded 2 together, was deleting the full size for one and the other one vanished![shocked] I kept on going back to check to make sure I hadn't missed it.

tee hee hee....it was really weird because you must have loaded at the same time because I got one of your piccies when I clicked on one of mine????

Can I just check..

Before I upload the cards, I save the pictures on file on my computer and downsize them then to @400x300. So, do I need to do the deleting of full size thing, or is this adequate enough?

Also, since I have never sold cards outside of family before, what kind of prices do you think I should be charging? (I don't mind if you answer this by-way of yahoo email address). I am worried that my standard is not as good as some of you...so need to think about this.

. ive typed in my own id and password (as before i typed in the mumscrafters id and password), then on mine asked my password again (to protect my account) but it came up Error Message "error - group check" !! ill leave it till tmrw

Have you had an email inviting you to join the group?
If so you have to wait until you get a mail back saying you have been accepted.

dior, i sent yours too...sent to hotmail, with the initial m in between your names; that didn't get bounced either.
