Things to do at home with a 10 month old

Hi

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this but am going to have a try anyway. I am trying to think of things to do at home with my 10 month old. We have done a bit of painting (chaos!) and splashy play with a bowl of water etc - what has anyone else done that their not- quite-walking toddler has enjoyed?

Thanks!

Here a few things that me and my DS do (you probably do these already though...!)

Singing nursery rhymes, DS loves Incy, Wincy Spider and Row, Row the Boat especially

Making a Den

Playing Peekaboo endlessly

Getting out the saucepans, cake tins and wooden spoons, make shakers with bottles and rice and make sure they are tightly sealed - babies like making lots of noise!

Hope that helps!

Getting in and out of low boxes - you want some nice boxes that cannot cut him (you can seal the edges with duck tape). This used to keep my DD busy for hours! And putting bricks into a box and taking them out again.

If you have nice wooden bricks, you can build a tower for him to knock down.

Do you mean crafty stuff with a 10 month old?? Play dough and finger painting. Maybe aquadraw??

I think a tad too young - more 18 months and even at this age they only concentrate for a very short time.

I wasnt one for entertaining till much older.
