What to make an Easter tree out of?

I was thinking of using some willow twigs and some pussy willow, in a vase so that I can put my decorative eggs on. Would that work? Where do I buy the twigs from, a florist?

Go out and collect a few twigs to use but put oasis in the vase or they will swing about when you decorate it. If its just for a few days choose a shrub from a garden centre to decorate and plant it out when you're done with it.

as an alternative to oasis, you can buy from florist like a gel that you can pop stalks straight in.

Grin at buying twigs! Though if you were really stuck (do you not live near a park??) then yes, florists do sometimes sell decorative twigs.

I used curly hazel - someone on Freecycle mentioned that they had loads of trimmings! They work a treat, but any twigs with lots of branchy bits will. I weighted them in a heavy vase with lots of pretty pebbles.

My best Easter trees were forsythia branches from garden, as they flowered or came into leaf depending on time and temperature.
Had to remember to keep water topped up tho.
