Hee! That is actually hilarious. It does sort of match the shop we have near us though in many ways...

AllTheGoodOnesAreTaken · 17/02/2011 18:37

I'm not being rude BUT...
Is anyone aware of a worse website that this one??

"Andy warehouse manager, always happy to slip you a length"!

The place seems like its locked in a 1970s timewarp.

BertieBotts · 17/02/2011 18:48

I've seen a worse one AllTheGoodOnes. I'll have a bit of a dig and see if I can remember what it is Grin

BertieBotts · 17/02/2011 18:52

Oh dear, that was frighteningly easy to find

(Anyone with photosensitive epilepsy possibly may want to avoid...)

SoupDragon · 17/02/2011 19:07

LOL! I love the backwards running cat in the corner [weeps]

But how did you find it...?

AllTheGoodOnesAreTaken · 17/02/2011 19:39

I used to design websites.. was looking for tips on website design one day to see if I could find any new ideas, and found it on a list of how NOT to design your site Grin

I also found an absolutely shocking vet's website when data collecting for a vet-related company. (Not in the same league as rainbow jesus fever, but still...) I haven't got the slightest clue what that was even called though any more.

purepurple · 17/02/2011 19:49

I love this line from the website
"SERVING CUSTOMERS ON LINE SINCE
2000 [11 YEARS]" In case you have forgotten what year it is. Grin

Teenybitsad · 17/02/2011 20:00

Love it! It's like going into one of those old fashoned Habidashery's on the high street! weird and a bit random but some nice little things too!

Silver1 · 18/02/2011 01:18

This thread has had me in stitches (no pun intended) but I have to say the shops are fab, the only reason I can get any fabric shopping, and therefore sewing done is because they are great with the toddler when we go in.

Meglet · 18/02/2011 01:31

The company I used to work for had to deal with the directors of fabricland and, um, its safe to say we used to find their correspondence highly entertaining. Was the highlight of our week getting a letter from them.

Mad as a box of frogs IME.

AllTheGoodOnesAreTaken · 18/02/2011 09:43

I find myself morbidly going back to their website, only for a few seconds at a time though...

that one you linked to, Bertie

"you are possibly not secure in your own personal faith. " at the top like a microsoft security warning ShockGrin

nickelbabe · 18/02/2011 14:18

and now i've just embarrassed myself in front of a shop full of people!

it says at the bottom, "best viewed in IE" so off i went. it opened while i was serving a customer and starting a midi file of "why can't we be friends" Blush
Shock

COCKadoodledooo · 18/02/2011 14:25

Love the shop, but the website is atrocious! Not, however as atrocious as that one bertie linked to Shock

bgail2405 · 05/03/2017 11:35

I to find the new website a bit tricky. But a have been buying from them for years. The fabric is cheap, ideal for those dressing up stuff. At least they don't waste money on a glitzy website and pass it on to us. Give them a try, or just ring them, they are great at giving help.
