Hi all

I'm off into London tomorrow and wondered if anyone knows of any good and reasonable fabric shops? We're going to be in the Victoria area, will probably have time to head up to Oxford Street but not much further. Could do John Lewis but wondered if anyone knows of any hidden gems in the area that are worth a visit?

There was a fabric shop opposite John Lweis in a little side road. I don't know if it's still there. I'll google

I have looked it up and know this area well you?ll love the back streets of Soho very cool.
It looks like Berwick Street is the place to go then Pizza Express if they have some Lunchtime Jazz.
There were lovely places to eat there but, it?s been 19 years since I lived in the area so everything could/probably has change re good cheap restaurants. Good Luck Smile

Victoria is scruffy and I don't think there is much there I think Oxford Strett is so close that there are only sandwich shops and bits in Victoria. Get on the bus and head off to Oxford Street I think the Victoria line might still have works on it.

You probably won't have time, but the Goldhawk road in Shepherd's Bush has the best and cheapest fabric shops in London imo.

macculloch and wallis has amazing fabrics but they have a price tag to match

berwick st is def worth a visit too

john lewis has a very small fabric section now, very sad compared to how it used to be a few years ago. they do have a fairly decent selection of yarn though if knitting floats your boat too Smile
