GOLD 204/204/0
GOLD 192/168/104
DARK GOLD 165/138/82
SILVER 151/151/149
SILVER 151/151/168

Numbers refer to (In MS Word) Format, Font, Font colour, More colours, Custom... and then the reference nubers for the Red/Green/Blue boxes respectively.

They're not really gold ad silver as they're non metallic but they're pretty damn good. You'll need to try them to see which prints best in your printer - they print slightly different to how they appear on screen.

I didn't believe it would work so I tried all the combinations and saved the details as a Word document

If you want to add a metallic look to the gold and silver you can print in bold and if your very quick cover the printed image in gold/silver embossing powder and then heat it, using a heat gun.....works a treat BUT you need to be quick

Bloody techhies, probably wanted to get me off phone cos' it wasn't work related.

Thanks ever so much.

I have now tried this and was suitably impressed. It is dull though. Now if I read this correctly, was someone putting on embossing powder after they had printed off pc and using heat gun? Or were you using a special printer?

Sorry I am brain dead today, have just read the post just under mine. Apologies.

Hi anyone managed to get the colours for copper/bronze yet. Tried the gold & silver on red & green card but it didnt work too well.

Dingle · 17/10/2005 13:21

For a coppery colour I use 205,115,0.

Have a look on the other thread further down about this and there is a link I put on for a great site- gives you the settings for nearly every colour under the sun!

Happy printing.

Ellen23 · 17/10/2005 16:38

Hi dingle tried that link for the university but not accessible anymore.

Dingle · 17/10/2005 17:29

try this one here

MrsForgetMeNotFul · 19/10/2005 12:40

discovered that if you print on pearlised card etc...and set printer to 'best' that it 'almost' passes as metalic writing....almost!
