What is this kind of photo frame called?

I am sure this is a silly question but I need a photo frame which has glass at the front then a box behind it. So that the glass doesn't touch what's in the box. Does that make any sense?
If you do know what I mean, where can I get one as cheaply as possible?

I think it's a box frame

Ikea do them & argos too I think

It is a box frame. But there's quite a few variations. What's it for?

I've just done a framing course so I'm all ears!

Wilkinsons do decoupage frames online www.wilkinsonplus.com/bin/venda?ex=co_wizr-locayta&template=wz_locayta&pageno=1&perpage=10&collate=pdxttype%3Apdxtcolourn%3Apdxtbrandn%3Apdxtsizen&threshold=43&fieldrtype=type&termtextrtype=invt&typertype=exact&typekeywordsearch=keyword&termtextkeywordsearch=box+frame&searchsubmit.x=8&searchsubmit.y=9here - which is the same kind of thing. Possibly instore too although I've never seen them in my local branch.
I use them to make 3dimensional name frames.

I will try that again Blush

Wilkinsons do decoupage frames online here - which is the same kind of thing. They also do them in 12" by 12". Possibly instore too although I've never seen them in my local branch.

Thank you all for replying! I rather absent mindedly forgot about this.
Box frame, ah hah!

LemonDifficult, fantastic name btw, I'm making a scrabble tile message and then framing it. I borrowed the idea from folksy and I would normally just buy it but this is a unique message.
Plus I like making things, it takes my mind off things.
Any ideas oh framing knowledgeable lemon?

iloveblue- thank you so much thats exactly what I want :)

Hi, Pipplin. Just seen this.

You may not need a box frame because the scrabble tiles are quite shallow. You might be able to use a deep frame if you haven't built it up too much. This might mean you didn't use the backing board that comes with the frame or put the tiles straight on to backing board or something similar.

Do you have a framer near you? Buying a ready made frame is cheaper but this sounds like quite a special project so I'd definitely go and talk to them.
