What is the best paint for painting pasta??

Hi, I'm going to make a pasta necklace with my daughter tomorrow. I just wondered what kind of paint would sick to it best. Should I add some PVA glue?

Shake it in a bag with a tiny bit of food colouring.

If you don't do food colouring and want to paint it your right it always helps to add a wee bit of PVA to poster paint to stop it going flaky and dusty.
