Plarn - crocheting with plastic shopping bags

I am trying to find a simple pattern to make a 'plarn' bag. My daughter has a textiles project on recycled materials and although I have found how to make the plarn from You Tube I can't find a pattern on how to make a bag. Any help would be great

Have you tried looking on Ravely? There's tonnes of patterns on there :)

What about this one?

One here - looks fun, I might have a go Smile

If you know how to make the plarn, then you could just do a normal crochet pattern, but use bigger hooks to match the size of the yarn.

You'd need to make sure your pattern was for a small bag, though, otherwise you'd end up with a huge bag!

I like Kurri's pattern.

I know it's nothing to do with your request but the plastic bag bit reignited a few memories!

Have a look at my Ravelry page (crochetdisco) - I did a rainbow plarn bag which has been fab until the tesco bags finally degraded. All the ocado ones have lasted fine....

The pattern was from myrecycledbags.com. Lots of ideas on there. Just be careful - plarn is really hard on your hands and better with plastic or metal hooks rather than bamboo/wood
