Well, looks like I am going to have to give this card making business a serious go. Have already outlayed for hot glue gun, cutting board & blades, eyelet making thingy and paper cutter. I look around all these craft stores and am amazed at how expensive a lot of equipment is which sadly, although I would love to have it, is not in reach of my meagre budget at the moment.

Therefore, my question is, what is the best and most useful "tool" or piece of equipment which you have bought for under a fiver which you could not now do without?

My eyletting tool....£4.30 and my glue gun £4.99.

my craft knife.

look out for craft bargains in non-craft shops.
Poundshops, lidls and aldi's do specials occasionally i think there's a photo trimmer for 1.99 at the mo. Supermarkets have the odd thing hanging around like tesco and asda.

Scissors (other) than pinking shears which cut nice edges. I got them for a pound each. Also Stamps, obviously cheaper than a sizzix but they give good cuts. About 2.99.

Oh definitely check out lidls at the mo. they have a craft paper set with scissors with scalloped edge but tons of ribbed paper. 4.99
