Looking for a sewing book ..........

Hello

I'm looking for a book for my SIL. She doesn't have a sewing machine but has shown an interest in sewing - I want to make up a little kit for her.
Can anyone recommend a book with some nice simple sewing projects that can be sewn by hand.

Thanks in advance

I saw this book recently and think it would be quite good.

I linked on the wrong one.

She also has 'Sew' which comes with a made up bag.

saorachd the Sew book doesn't come with a made up bag, it just comes with fabric cut to size and instructions to make your own bag.

I have both those cath kidstone books, and tbh if she doesn't have a sewing machine I would buy the make book, rther than the sew book.

The Make book comes with a bag for you to applique. And most of the Mkae projects cn be done by hand.

There is also the 'Stitch' one but I have not seen inside it yet.

Thanks overmydeadbody, I nearly ordered the wrong one (got a bit mixed up by them all) Blush

What about this one. You can have a look inside and see if it's the sort of thing that she would like.

The 'Make' book has a lot of applique work rather than full sewing projects.

I like the look of that one thankyou Knottylocks - might get her a few fat quarters/felt to go along with it.
