I want to make some jingle bells musical instruments for Christmas gigs. I thought it would be nice for my audiences to have some bells to shake along - especially after a few beers!!

I have ssen packs of cheap bells on offer, but need something to attach them to. Needs to be cheap as I'm expecting quite a few of them to wander!

Any ideas??

I was in petsmart with my mum and some cat collars with about 20 bells on for only £1

I bought two even though I dont have a cat - for my craft making!

I would get a length of wood about 1" by 1" on its square cut end. Cut it into approx. 9 inch lengths. Paint them if you want to. Then screw in eyes spaced out round the top 3 incheslike these - but as small as is practical.

Attach bells to the eyes (probably best before you screw then right in).

Wrap some tape round the bottom section perhaps, for a smooth handle, add a bit of tinsel for decoration. HTH
