I know the basics of kniting and a little bit of crochet (I can do socks). I would like to knit/crochet a hat for myself. I like this one images.onccc.com/images/20091204/middle_1259907532086.JPG Does anyone know where I can find the instructions for this type of hat? I could knit just a simple beenie hat but it does not suit my face.

Here is another one en.onccc.com/productDetail/ENG/63975006.html

I this one could also suit me en.onccc.com/productDetail/ENG/62855875.html

Many thanks for your help.

www.ravelry.com

Once you've joined, go to Patterns, type in cloche hat or something, you can restrict the search using the categories on the L-H side of the page.

this site also good for downloadable patterns.

Those hat are lovely especially the first one, with hats it's generally all in the shaping, they are easier than they look. Am sure if you can do socks you will be fineSmile

this sort of thing?

I think you may be better with crochet as it will give you a firmer texture and more shape.

Thank you for the sites! They are great.
I think I will struggle with all those signs. I hope to find pages with pictures how to do specific patterns. I have crochet socks but the pattern is very simple, nothing fancy. I would not want to have it on my hat unless I decorate it with a flower.
