I'm looking for a rubber stamp, can anyone help?

I have seen a rubber stamp in a catalogue but they are out of stock. I've looked at lots of places online but nothing is coming close to the one I'm after. I've spent the last hour looking at custom stamps but can't find anything suitable.

Does anyone have any suggestions/recommendations?

What type of stmap is it?

I had a personalised stamp made from here for my wedding 5 years ago. Just our names & date but I know that they do images too.

This is the only other site I have ordered stamps from (I have an obsession with the Gorguss girls!)

oh just seen Joroco is no longer in business due to retirement - sorry

It is a 'Thank you' stamp with 5 lines of text and space at the end of each line for you to fill in yourself - a bit like a party invite where the to, from, when, where, etc are printed and you fill in the details by hand. Does that make sense?

There's a shop called 'Blade Rubber' in London, more or less opposite the British Museum - they made a stamp for me and it was very quick and efficient. Don't know where you are, OP, but from their site I think you can possibly do it online. It's here

Thanks, I had a look at that site earlier but it was going to cost a minimum of £30 to have what I wanted (the one I saw originally was only £6!).

Oh well, worth a try!Smile Hope you can track down the one you saw...

My friend's friend does the artwork for Gorjuss. She'll be well pleased to know it's been mentioned here!

I was going to order from here a stamp that said "Not known at this address" for previous tenants mountains of mail. It was about £12.

here

Thanks, I've looked there too Grin! Because it's quite a big stamp (5 lines of text) it's costing anywhere from £30 up to £70 Shock!

I have dug out my old self-inking address stamp to see if I can make my own but it's not going to be big enough...

I'm going to town tomorrow so will have a search there.

Thanks for the suggestions! Smile

That is a real shame as that is just the type of thing that Joroco did (and cheaply)

The phone number is on the website still - don't know if it would be worth phoning and asking if they can reccomend someone else.

I just remembered an ebay seller that was reccomended to me here for personalised "made by" stamps. They are in Malaysia but supposedly very reliable

The other place to try might be vistaprint, I have a free stamp from there.

Have a look on ebay.com (not ebay.co.uk) the US are much more in to crafts than us and when I was looking for stamps for my wedding I found loads there (and they were only a couple of dollars to ship economy - although you might have to email the seller in advance and ask if they will post to the UK - most will).

mogs0 · 08/11/2010 13:01

SOCCER - I tried phoning the number but it just rings and rings.

lucy - thanks, I just had a quick look but my eyes are going funny from all the searches I've been doing Grin.

I think I'm going to admit defeat as I've spent too long looking already.

I've just spent the last hour trying to design my own and print it off the computer instead but I'm totally crap at that aswell so will continue writing thank-you cards the old fashioned way!

Thanks for all the help though!

We had a custom blind stamp made by Stamps Direct - excellent and cheap - well £33 including vat (2004 price). Pretty sure we uploaded the image via their website.
