card (thick paper) is for making cards and paper is for...... cards again??

card is for making the card blank and mounting something if you are going to use it in a 3D way

paper is for matting and layering, framing etc etc

matting and layering... im really sorry but dont know what that means? (as im new on this card making lark!)

just using co-ordianting papers used to frame soemthing
can't find a good examlpe quick enough
