Substituting yarn

What can I substitute Alpaca Bulky for using needles: 12mm? Was thinking of a Rowan wool but which one? Or any other suggestions?

Rowan big wool would work i used it instead of the recommeended Alpacas bulky. make sure you do a swatch and it should be fine. I knitted it on 12mms.
