Vintage damask tablecloth?

I've just acquired a lovely vintage tablecloth that has a hole (small) and age stains on it - I think its a cutter rather than a keeper - any ideas as to what I could make? I'd thought about cutting it down to make a smaller tablecloth butu the staining might stop that. WHat would you make?

hmmmmm i think i'd dye it if the staining wasn't too dark, i have one knocking about with the same problems!

Darn the hole and bleach it? Assuming that white is what you are aiming for, of course. I have a few tablecloths like this, and also layer them to cover the stains/holes.

depending on the type of stain i would look at dying it. otherwise i would look at making it into a table runner, would look nice in contrasting colour to another tablecloth underneath.

Thanks - I've washed it and its looking better so I might go down the bleach route. On the other had I am not completely wedded to using it as a table cloth - has anyone used vintage linen for other projects?

damask can make a lovely quilt.
