I'm going on a dressmaking course, I need a pattern!

And I have no idea where to look. I've paid quite a bit of money for the course, and I need to take my own pattern and fabric, but I really have no clue where to look for modern patterns.

I love anything military, and I'm wanting to do either a dress or a top, so if anyone knows of any online places where I can look, that would be great!

your local habadashery store or department store (ie John Lewis) should have the usual range of simplicity, buterwick and vogue patterns or try online

otherwise try here here or here
for something a bit different.

Colette patterns are reputed to be verrrrry good.

I buy all my dressmaking patterns from Ebay. So much cheaper than from stores and such a great range. If they have a picture of the back of the packet you can order any interfacing etc online before the pattern actually arrives too Smile

i buy Burda magazine every month and have done for the last 20 years or so. but I would not recomend it for a beginer, but definately worth a browse.
