My daughter has just given me a french knitting bobbin and I don't have the instructions, does anyone know how to do it?

Put the wool down the hole and knot the tail

wind the wool round the hoops twice and use the pricker to pull loop 1 over loop 2 on the same hoop

continue until you get bored

tug on the tail to tighten up regularly

hard part is thinking of anything to do with the resultant knitting

gee... I remember having one of these made from a wooden cotton reel when I was a kid! I also learnt to knit on nails while I was on holiday with my dad when I was about seven. The sound drove my dad nuts as we drove for many hours.
