So my favourite wonderful creative intelligent people (enough crawling yet Grin)..

For Hallowe'en DH is going dressed as a mad scientist and had the idea of carrying around a fake brain with electrodes (empty biros) stuck out of it. I have brain moulds for jelly, but I think jelly would be a bad idea as it would fall apart. Which means I need a different substance!

I would prefer to avoid clay etc. as it would look better if it was a bit gelatinous. So do any of you have any ideas?

Put some milk in and cut down on the water .

Add extra gelatin. It'll be inedible but won't fall apart.

Line the moulds with strawberry and vimto laces before you pour milky jelly in - for veins

Can you buy a plastic brain from a halloween toy shop (?) then put it in a clear plastic tub and fill it up with green jelly? It will look like one of those medical specimens. If you cant find toy brain you could always use a cauliflower or something ?(clutching at straws here!)

Papier mache? It will be grey already.
