Anyone made their own baby changing bag?

Hi all

I am expecting DC3 in March - and would like a really funky changing bag (never managed to find one with DS's). However, i can't find a reasonably priced one that I like.
So thought I might try to make one.

I have a sewing machine - have made a few things but would class myself as a newbie.
Is a bag too ambitious?

Has anyone made one and if so, what pattern did you use?

Thanks

Interesting challenge! I haven't made my own but was always looking out for the perfect changing bag, started out with a flight bag with DS1 as it was big enough for all the nappies and clothes (disposables were not so great then and so took at least two complete changes of clothing everywhere!) Used a rucksack some of the time when I had DS2, as I needed more space for toddler plus baby. Breastfed both so never needed to take bottles, fortunately - saved spaceWink When DS2 was older I found Caboodle bags, and liked the style they sold then, they have moved on considerably since. My only advice as you begin your project is to try to figure out what you will be filling it with so there's enough room, lol! Would love to know what you decide to do so please keep us informed Smile

I've not made one but I know a lot of people who've made their own Onbags. There's a free DIY pattern here.

Sew Hip magazine had a pattern a few issues ago that looked lovely.

Ooh quiltingmama, do you have a copy? Missed you yesterday, everything ok?0

I'll dig it out. I was too stressed with 'issues' at work and all to get it together to knit. Next time. How you and tiddler?

Just reread that - is it possible to be too stressed to knit??!!
