I need help to create a vegetable costume for dd2 (3) for her pre-school non-uniform day!! Any experience or ideas out there .

Make a tomato! Get a giant round paper lampshade from Ikea, paint it red and stick some green leaves around the top. Wear green tights. Et voila!

thanks mummamango... the lampshade idea seems easy enough. I'm wondering how practical it would be. Do you think she could sit down?

Cut a big hole in the bottom? Wish I could draw a diagram!

Or... Get loads of green tights and make a pea in a pod costume - with green face paint.

Broccoli - dressed all in green (stalk), get a hat with a wide brim and cover if with lots of green tissue paper scrunched up into little balls. Obviously the wider the brim the better. (I saw some big floppy sunhats reduced in quality seconds t'other day...)
