Hi!

I just wrote an entry on my blog today about how I got the children making collages after I saw a collage-illustrated story in an issue of StoryBox that inspired me. My blog isn?t generally arts and crafts based but I thought it was a bit of a coincidence when I saw this thread..!

Thanks so much Julie. I'm just about to have a look!

Thanks also to you, Maggy - fabulous stuff, and I have told people already!

Ooh! I love a good craft blog.

This one is lovely - written by an ex-Londoner who has emigrated to New Zealand.

i have a crafty blog maximumrabbitdesigns

i feature my crafts - mainly cross-stitch atm but lots of different things further back and a smattering of family posts to. I have my favourite blogs listed down the side bar.

specialsmasher · 26/09/2010 08:11

lovely - thanks! Love the name of your blog, too...

I love the purl bee too, and might as well throw my own blog cold comfort crafts into the mix, it's a mixture of family and sewing stuff, and I'm getting ready for a craft fair so should (toddler willing) be updated fairly frequently!

Niecie · 26/09/2010 12:20

This one isn't a blog as such but a gallery of lots of different bloggers' crochet work. If you click on the pictures, it links to the blogs.

I also like Do you mind if I knit? - she has been doing a lot of crochet recently.

For sewing I don't think anybody has mentioned Anne Marie Horner

Also love Attic 24 and purl bee. In fact I have dozens of blogs bookmarked so if I can think of any more outstanding ones I shall come back.

specialsmasher · 26/09/2010 18:20

Thanks so much, both -I'm such a happy browser now!

For general sewing stuff I like Blueberry Park and Sew Liberated.

I've got my own blog - I sew the odd bit of clothing and some quilts and knit. Try to contain your excitement Grin

specialsmasher · 28/09/2010 07:38

Thank you, Hopefully - will browse later! Had no idea so many people were at it...

I've got something like 100 blogs (mostly crafty/quilting) in my Google Reader - thoroughly recommend signing up for google reader or something like it if you want to keep up with more than one or two blogs.

comewhinewithme · 28/09/2010 08:24

skippedydoodah.wordpress.com/ I love this blog she makes some gorgeous stuff.

:( Envy Wish I was crafty.

I read a whole host of blogs when I have time, mostly for inspiration to get my fingers out and get sewing (mainly cross-stitch although the blogs I read wouldn't hint at that!) Vintage Violet's blog is very good, love the stuff she puts on it.

Carina has lovely Scandinavian style needlework.

Vintage Fern also needlework but lovely too.

Artsy Crafty Babe sews lovely home made bags amongst other things (and one day I will follow her patterns and make a bag for me!)

Little Red Ribbon

Tiny Happy

Lucy Kate made me love making my own toys again and fiddling about with designs for them!

Don't Look Now makes some gorgeous quilty things.

Carol Hannah for anyone who loves Project Runway!

Well you did ask! :)

Oh dear, I have found even more blogs on here to add to Google Reader.

Did anyone mention soulemama? It will make you feel enormously inferior and like a bad mother (she is alarmingly capable and crafty), but lots of nice photos and she does a fair bit of handmade stuff.
