Oh lol..me too! I have started 3! I feel like "Who cares?" when I sit and try to discuss things or inform people of my doings!

IIf you want to do it for business purposes have you considered a facebook page for your business? Not as many words needed and you can add pics with captions...

CerealOffender · 15/09/2010 20:32

i would prefer a blog cos i could just put the address on my blog and folk could look at and i could make it look nice. which blog provider(s) do you use?

I used blogger as I remeber...I suggest that if you find the writing part difficult to stic to pictures and lots of keywords in descriptions.

It reall depends on what you sell...what is your line?

CerealOffender · 15/09/2010 20:37

I do prints. i stall even at the profile bit, 'hello i am cerealoffender and i am a burk'

Lol....well then write that! Not Exactly that! But be yourself...the best blogs (and other publications) are always written in style true to the writer...

Just write it...you could pay someone....peopleperhour has a lot of cheap and good writers who will blog for you...

CerealOffender · 15/09/2010 20:48

arf @ paying someone. i shall persevere thanks for listening to my whinge

i blog (with blogger) and started mine 3 years ago, feeling like a bit of a prat with no-one reading it. but you never know what it can lead too, now have getting on for 3000 subscribers and if i wasn't blogging, a publisher would have never seen my work, and i wouldn't have just written a whole craft pattern book!

CerealOffender · 15/09/2010 20:57

way to go neytiri! link?

am going to have to remove that post shortly, am going to contact them about it, don't want to be seen airing dirty laundry in public!

Arewenearlythereyet2009 · 16/09/2010 15:33

Neytiri, that?s a great blog!

I love all the things that you make, they are so well done. You have inspired me to try something similar out with my kids. I write a blog as well, but it?s not as good as yours!

looking forward to reading the blogs, I've just started one here and it's hard striking the right balance between personal and crafty! I am enjoying it although as a techno novice am finding wordpress quite techy, although apparently once you've got the hang of it it's really good for doing more Advanced Stuff.

I do find them very inspirational though, I love Purl Bee as it has great tutorials and free patterns!

Quiltingmama · 17/09/2010 10:07

Hi coldcomfort - the link isnt working! Great blog neytiri ive bookmarked you! Im thinknig abouot starting a blog to document my ever expanding 'make list' - Ive got a freebie one with wordpress, are they any good?

Quiltingmama · 17/09/2010 10:08

will have to use spellcheck, obviously Blush

neytiri · 18/09/2010 10:36

wordpress are good, all the free blog platforms are good and user friendly, i use blogger. the other one is typepad, thats really good, has lots of extras but it does cost, only a small amount per month, but still, it's a cost i decided i could do without paying Wink

blogger have just updated their set up pages so there are a lot more options for layout.

thank you for the kind blog comments Blush, i haven't blogged this year as much as usual, big project took over for a while, but that's all done now, back to business soon!

dizzyday07 · 18/09/2010 16:53

I too am a "really-should-try-harder" blogger!

I have given myself a good talking to and the intention is that I actually make some stuff to hopefully sell and blog better about what I'm up to.

I have thought about changing my name (to Sewn With Love) so that the connotations are less that I just make bedding!
